Help! How do I "Heat Mold" My Burton Moto Snowboot Liners??
Just got these and no instructions other than different ways to tie them. There was a piece of paper that said EVA liners should only be heat molded with the Burton EMU heating system. ?????????????? What's that?
Do not heat mold your boots. Many of the new high end snowboard boots have "heat moldable liners" this means that they will form to your footbed giving you a great fit. The problem with heating up your liners is that if they are to warm and you step into your boots you will over compress the liner and destroy that cooshy feel to your boots. At our snowboard shop in Portland, Oregon we usually tell our customers to wear their boots and let your own body heat and weigth do the molding. It is not worth wrecking your boots.
